On October 22, 2021, The Hmong American Peace Academy (“HAPA”) celebrated the grand opening of its new 99,000 square foot high school built by VJS Construction Services on its main campus in Milwaukee’s Lindsay Park neighborhood.
Phase 1 of the Master Plan included a new 99,000 square-foot high school building with 38 classrooms, a 16,000-square-foot gymnasium, a multipurpose resource center with a student-run café, a museum dedicated to Hmong history and culture, and dedicated college and career resource centers, administrative offices and professional development facilities for teachers and staff. This space allows HAPA to continue expanding its services and provide state-of-the-art education to the Hmong community.
VJS Construction Services was the general contractor for the project; Continuum served as the architect and planner, and Travaux was the owner’s representative.
