VJS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

VJS Community Foundation Logo.png

As a company, VJS Construction Services is committed to supporting the needs
and concerns of the communities where we are privileged to do business.

VJS’ philanthropic work and enthusiasm for community involvement have made a difference in many people's lives. This passion for strengthening the communities where we live and work radiates throughout the VJS organization, and employees have spent countless hours dedicating their time, energy, funds, and leadership to community organizations.

The VJS Construction Services Community Foundation was established to lead our philanthropic efforts and build on the legacy of giving back to the communities we serve. The Foundation aids in encouraging participation in giving back through events and fundraisers, contributions to annual giving campaigns, and benefits several of our nonprofit partners through our annual golf outing and 5K run/walk event.

Annual 5K Run/Walk

Join us on May 4, 2024 for the 4th Annual 5K!

The VJS Community 5K event was created to help raise awareness and funds to help our community prosper. Thanks to our supporters' and sponsors' generosity in 2023, we raised $20,000 for our beneficiaries: The Waukesha Christmas Parade Memorial Fund and The Women's Center.

Our 2024 beneficiaries are: Journey21, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, and the Waukesha Christmas Parade Memorial Fund.

The VJS Community Foundation has held events including the annual golf outing and 5K to support community organizations in need such as the Urban Ecology Center, United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), Neighborhood House, the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin-Southeast, the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County, the Salvation Army, the Waukesha Food Pantry and many more.

“It’s one thing to understand the challenges of the past few years. It is another to step up to do something about it. Through some of the most difficult times for Milwaukee residents, the team at VJS demonstrated their commitment to the Clubs and our kids. They understand that in order to have a strong city we must also have a strong community. Thank you VJS for all that you do!”

—  Kathy Thornton-Bias, President & CEO, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee

Constructing a playhouse for 9-year-old Valerie on behalf of Make-A-Wish

The playhouse was constructed to meet some of Valerie’s requests, including a view of the stars with large windows, which will also let in a lot of daylight.

She is very excited to have a place to call her own and incredibly grateful to the VJS team for making her wish come true.

Annual Golf Outing - VJS Construction Services Community Foundation

Since 2017,  the VJS Construction Services Community Foundation golf outing has allowed VJS to shine its spotlight on various non-profit organizations.

Thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, and subcontractors, we donated $10,000 each to our three beneficiaries: Carroll University, Augustine Prep, and Wellpoint Care Network.
