"SAFETY FIRST" ON EVERY JOB

We take safety seriously, and it is a top priority on each VJS project. VJS’ full-time Senior Safety Manager, Elizabeth Polheber visits each job site weekly and oversees our entire safety program.

She works with the Superintendent to ensure all safety requirements are carried out throughout the project duration. What sets us apart from other general contractors is our pre-planning approach to ensure safety, the involvement of senior management in reinforcing safety standards throughout the company, and the relationship that we build with each of our employees so that they always prioritize safety.

Safety is the responsibility of each employee, not just the safety directors.

VJS is a proud member of the Wisconsin Construction Wellness Community (WCWC) and the Associated General Contractors of America.

We focus on a holistic approach to safety - human, organizational, and technological. We make sure that all our employees are trained and prepared for the tasks they are going to complete. We want our employees to be prepared emotionally and in the right mindset to make sure they are focused on themselves, their crew, and the client.
