On Tuesday, October 27, Mount Mary University President Christine Pharr formally announced a new bachelor’s of science in nursing program. In an effort to combat the ongoing nursing shortage in Wisconsin, Mount Mary University is launching a four-year on-campus bachelors of science in nursing program next fall.
VJS Construction Services is incredibly excited to be the construction partner for this important project. To house the new program, VJS designed and constructed a new Health Sciences Center. The 6,500-square-foot facility will create a home for the university’s new four-year nursing program, provide expanded facilities for its existing 1-2-1 partnership program and serve as an inter-professional collaboration lab for undergraduate and graduate students studying nursing, social work, counseling, occupational therapy, art therapy and dietetics.
“We are looking forward to many years of nursing in this space,” said Pharr at the ceremonial groundbreaking event Tuesday afternoon.
