The VJS team attended a socially distanced groundbreaking event at the future home of Avenir Apartments in downtown Madison on Monday, March 1.
Representatives from Keller Real Estate, Potter Lawson architects, and First Business Bank were also in attendance to celebrate this milestone. This project is 25 years in the making and is the first major redevelopment as part of the Mifflandia Neighborhood planning project.
“The term Avenir means future in French, the future, looking forward,” said Dave Keller, owner of Keller Real Estate. “And I can think of no better name for a project that is really looking forward in downtown Madison.”
VJS is thrilled to be partnering with Keller Real Estate to make this project a reality. The new 150,000+ square-foot building is scheduled to open in Spring 2022.
This 6-story new construction project will have about 2,500 square feet of commercial space at the corner of West Washington Avenue and North Bassett Street, 103 apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom units, a community room with kitchen and exercise room, and terraces.
