Washington Park Renovation & Expansion
ARCHITECT

SELF-PERFORM
Selective Demolition, Carpentry, Drywall
LOCATION
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
SIZE
33,000 square feet
PROJECT SCOPE
The Urban Ecology Center Washington Park branch grew from 15,125 to 33,000 square feet, adding classrooms, a solarium, a library, an assembly hall, and expanded office space.
A multi-level mezzanine with a central tree transformed the lobby, while an observation deck and green roof enhance outdoor learning. Site upgrades include a service yard, storage building, a green parking lot, improved pedestrian access, and new park signage, creating a more sustainable and engaging community space.
"On behalf of the team, I wanted to reach out to say, great job. Your work establishing and monitoring the estimates for Washington Park was instrumental in getting the project to this point. Having information that was comprehensive, accurate and reliable provided the confidence UEC needed at each step to continue moving ahead."
— Monique Charlier, Principal, Rivet (Owner's Rep)
