PROJECT SCOPE
Project Concern, a designated “My Plate” food pantry through Hunger Task Force, partnered with VJS to transform a former school property into a future community resource hub. VJS provided preconstruction estimating to support a successful City Block Development Grant application, helping secure $100,000 to fund property acquisition. Phase I included land acquisition and due diligence services such as certified survey mapping, schematic layouts, and preliminary municipal approvals. Phase II included demolition of the existing school and selective site work to prepare the property for redevelopment.
Phase III delivers a purpose built facility with public reception and distribution areas, administrative offices, staff support spaces, a community room, grocery and cold storage areas, thrift retail space, and an on site garage for operations.
