PROJECT DETAILS
  • Cost: $2,200,000
  • Remodeled kindergarten classrooms
  • New STEM lab with flexibility for future needs
  • Library remodel to accommodate flexibility, group seating, small group study, large class reading area, storytelling area, new library stacks and circulation desk
EXCEPTIONAL RESULTS

VJS provided design build services inclusive of all furniture coordination. The projects were constructed during the student occupied school year that required developing a phasing plan and a site specific safety plan. The special needs area needed to remain fully functional and the on-site team was able to manage construction in a phased approach that created minimal disruption. Creative design strategies met budgetary requirements while providing the district with a high level of quality and flexibility. The library remodel offers additional seating space, collaborative areas for group projects, Lego tables, and open soft tiered seating for librarian reading times. The special education room allowed for a more flexible space, with sensory seating. The STEM lab offers power from the ceiling, flexible standing height tables and stools, built-in storage for STEM projects and mobile televisions for collaborative software projects.
