The 180,000 square feet of additions and renovations at Silverbrook Intermediate School were sequenced in 11 phases in an occupied school while classes were in session. The construction was phased so the school would be able to remain operational. The length of the project was originally scheduled to be completed in 22 months and was shortened to 15 months. One unique feature incorporated into the school was the main corridors were finished with multiple colors to represent a brook/stream to tie in with the name of the school. Through collaboration and innovative thinking, we were able to return savings of $620,845 to the District.
