  • Cost: $58,500,000 (multiple projects) (2015 value)
  • VJS built the original 200,000 square foot facility which included a retirement community, assisted living and skilled care on one campus.
  • Phase I was 236,000 square feet and Phase II was a 147,000 square foot addition.
  • The skilled nursing facility resident rooms and bathrooms were renovated and remodeled
  • Numerous conversions from shared to single rooms as well as corridor finishing upgrades and all MEP systems and finishes as required were also performed
  • Planning and phasing to minimize disruptions of the occupied resident rooms

VJS has built most of the campus CCRC components over a span of the last 20-30 years. In the last few years, we have continued to do renovations, additions and remodeling upgrades throughout the campus in skilled, RCAC and independent living buildings to ensure all levels of increased life safety, efficiency and aesthetic qualities of the areas. On several campuses our focus has been to “reinvent” the skilled care services with the addition of Therapy Suites (single, catered living sub-acute resident rooms) and upgraded, comprehensive therapy gym and services.

“During the day to day business of providing health care to the elderly, it is extremely important to our operations that individuals working in resident occupied areas be sensitive to noise, dust, fumes, and most importantly, safety concerns. VJS has been able to accommodate both the needs of our staff and residents. While construction in occupied areas is difficult, VJS has always been able to stay on schedule with the least amount of inconvenience possible.”
