Fox Run, the redevelopment site in Waukesha where The Den at Fox Run is located, was the former home of a dry cleaner. When the developer, VJS Development Group, and an environmental consultant started their site investigation, it was challenging to understand the full magnitude and spread of the environmental contaminant due to an existing basement foundation and limited ability to conduct testing. VJS Development Group worked closely with the environmental consultant and their subcontractors to help budget the remediation costs and the remedial action plan with limited information. The team worked with the local municipality and a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to assist with the cleanup.
